Mad Money
Okay, so this, like, never happens, but I actually have some mad money to burn. My mom sent me a hundred bucks for my birthday, and I'm not supposed to spend it on anything that I need. Nor am I allowed to buy things for other people, for the house, etc.
And since this never happens, and since I'm the stereotypical martyr mom that takes care of everyone but herself (except to get my highlights, honey), I have no idea what to buy.
All I know is that I don't want a massage. And I've already thought about shoes. Any other great ideas?
Help me?
Anyone?

Go for a really lovely piece of one-of-a-kind jewelery, something that you can wear all the time and feel happy in.
Okay, that's what I would do. Happy birthday!
A massage or facial at the spa.
A fabulous shirt.
Lotion and great stuff from
The Body Shop....
Chocolate from your favorite chocolate place.
Candles - the good ones.
Your new favorite pair of pj's.
Honey, if you got it I can spend it...
I keep a list of things I want...it's kind of good because I have a place to evaluate what I want and also if I ever do get some mad money, I know right away how to choose what I want.
Think about yourself, maybe in the shower? When no one else is talking to you and there's no visual stimulation...close your eyes and ask yourself what you want. What do you want to indulge in?
I myself would go for art supplies or jewelry or shoes but that's me. This is for YOU.
Many happy returns, too.
Hilights in a salon. Perhaps not a theraputic as a massage, but lasts a heck-uv-alot longer. Spending money on your hair is the best way to waste money and feel really good about it. And, if there's anything left over, really expensive salon hair products.
I'm thinking of blowing it all at Drugstore.com on Philophy products. I never buy beauty products. I use Hubby's Pert Shampoo, Dove for my face, nothing fun. Misfit Hausfrau, on the other hand, is a product WHORE, so I could stand to learn a few lessons from her.
A pedicure!
If you've already thought of shoes, why think any more? The decision is simple to me. :) Enjoy that money to spend entirely on yourself.
Well, so far I bought an uber-cool straw tote and chic sun hat to use at outdoor market. I'll look so transcontinental when we move to Canada!
So, $75 more to go....
If I had it, I would buy a new Taser, but I'm strange that way - LOL
So let me be serious for a second - maybe that book you've been dying to read?
A taser??? I never thought of that. Hmmm.... could be handy to use instead of time-outs...
Actually, I already spent every last cent, and then some--- I've just been to crazy busy to post about it this week!
What'd you buy? Inquiring minds want to know! (And I just got $50 in birthday money from my dad, so I want some ideas, too...hehe)
I say buy a handbag you love. It's something we use every day, carry everywhere, and often don't splurge on.
