"And it's BAD (bad), BAD (bad) Irma Brown.."
Ahhhh. So nice to be smacked THREE TIMES by my three year old, once in the middle of Target. Nothing like that and hearing four other mothers suck in their breath simultaneously to make me almost completely loose my shit. And let me tell ya,
the time outs weren't workin', people.
So, thanks to Hausfrau, I bring you this. Kindly scroll down to the video, and turn up the volume. Once the kids are in bed, of course.
Not that we advocate the kind of behavior shown here...
... but yesterday, it was so, so very tempting.

this is freaking great. Do you think if all of us Mommy bloggers got together, we could get a group discount?
Seriously--I was in tears this morning over backtalk from 15 y/o dd.
THAT is hysterical!!!!!
I was told very loudly in the checkout line at Target last week:
"I don't like you mommy"
cause i made boy child #2 give the toy he was carrying around to the cashier... cause i told him all thru the store that i was not buying it... they were so busy and i was sooo pissed... at least he didnt say HATE...
here from craziequeens post!
I'm on about my fifth family now, and backtalk is one of the pitfalls.
Being the 'un-mum' though, I got far less than the mothers - partly because I wasn't their mother, and partly because they quickly learned I could give as good as I get :-)
I have had children say 'I hate you', and I stun them by saying back 'Well, at the moment, I don't like you very much, so we're even!' - silence and obedience usually ensues while they work out how to regain my 'love'...!

Felicity-- I'll look into the group discount thing.
Killired-- Welcome! And what is it about Target that brings out the worst in people? I overspend, my kid smacks me, yours hates you... Is it the red bullseye?
CQ--That is SO my mother. Pre-insanity, that is...
My 2 year old has taken it upon himslef to jump on, kick and hit hist brothers (with toys). Timeout does not work with him yet....I have no idea how to get him to stop, either.
He always smiles sweetly when he is caught....little stinker. Actually, he does stink...I think I have a diaper to change.
