1) First off, Happy Birthday, Peaches!!!
2) Second, I thought I'd share with you what my son said while whipping around the dining room on the baby's scooter:
"Look Mommy! I'm a racist!"
Just what every mother hates to hear. And so soon after explaining MLK Jr. Day, too. Of course, I told him the proper word is "racer."
3) On a (much) more somber note, Jenette had her baby boy yesterday. Get a box of Kleenex and go check out her post.
Off to hug my boys...

Hug 'em extra hard...
I was uspposed to attend a discipline class last night but after reading jenette's yesterday, I went home & held my (big) babies instead. I even made my DD sleep ith M me & Fin!
So very sad about J. & her husband & their loss.
Thank you for the loving comment that you left on my blog. Sara was born almost 14 years ago; this fact takes my breath away, she is a part of my heart. I haven't written about her on my blog, but maybe I can honor her on her birthday.
I am praying for Jenette. Truly, if she needs to "talk", I'm here. I remember walking around thinking that I was the only one who'd had a baby with PS. Very, very few people had even heard of the condition. Watching the online community reach out to Jenette has brought tears to my eyes.
I think I need to Bookmark your blogs! C
Thank you June--you're too sweet--for all of it!
Yesterday Charlie announced, 'I'm a superhero, Mommy! I'm White Boy!'
His superpower? Well, besides being entitled to EVERYTHING, he can play that funky music.
I'm so proud.
Ward (Cleaver! Get it?) is on call until late tonight, so when I go to bed, The Beav will be right there with me...
Hausfrau--- you know as well as I do that "sweet" is not a word usually associated with me! Thanks for saying so (you too, wordgirl), but I feel weird getting props for just helping out...
And Susan, darn you. Can I just remind you that I carried two seven pound babies inside of me? The next time you feel like making me laugh like that, warn me. My bladder ain't what it used to be.
I'm so glad Ward (mine, not yours) isn't here to hear me spontaneously chuckling to myself every so often.
I just read about Alex and the broccoli and MLK at Hausfrau's--sweet jesus, that kid is so damn funny.
And wierd. Did I mention wierd? Very weird.
