    What Have We DONE????

    Holycrapholydrapholycrap!!!

We bought a house today. In Canada. It's beautiful and I thought I would DIE DIE DIE if our offer wasn't accepted.. And then it was, and I immediatly started to regret the whole thing.

This is the EXACT SAME THING that happened whenever I went after some guy who I swore was the hottest, the smartest, the funniest thang ever to cross my path. And then once he asked me out, I instantly thought, "Eh. Not so much."

Anyway, we close in May, and we haven't even put our current house on the market yet. HA HA!! HA!! Hoooooo boy!!! I think I'm starting to twitch!!!!

Does anyone have some cash to donate to our anemic down-payment fund? Maybe I'll get some Google ads over here. Or sell some eggs. I hear there are a few prime street corners I could walk downtown....

By the way, were you all even aware that I will become an immigrant this summer?

Hausfrau and I have decided that I will spend my days living the Canadian Dream in my babushka, pining away for the Old Country.

I wonder if they have hot dogs in the New World?

I'm jealous of your upcoming move to Canada (care to expound on how that came to be, by the way?)...congrats on the house, though! And good luck with the craziness of the next few months!

I hear the beer is good. I am assuming your residency is not an issue, otherwise, I would be more worried about the bureaucratic red tape.

    Buyer's remorse is a bitch.

The beer is great! And yes, we have hotdogs, and milk in bags, and money that looks like it came from a board game, and a definite penchant for mullets (a.k.a "The Canadian Passport").

    CONGRATULATIONS, eh? ;)

Thanks for the warm welcome, but what up with milk in bags? I don't get it. Is it like a large udder? Does it have a spout?

As for why we're going, even though Mr. Cleaver makes an excellent salary, we're drowning in debt d/t the taxes in beautiful upstate NY. Someone has to pay for NYC, after all. Apparantly, it's our family alone that's been chosen to do so.
So, Mr. Cleaver got an ammmaaaaaazzziiing job in Ontario. And the exchange rate works on our favor, so off we go!

The milk in bags is the best part. You can buy it in jugs and cartons too, but drinking milk out of the bag is a cherished Canadian pasttime. ;)

Go here to see our beloved milk in a bag http://home.cogeco.ca/~husky66/Milk/
While you can get milk in jugs and cartons its just cheaper to buy in the bags. With my four kids though we buy the bags and then pour it into a huge refillable container otherwise i'd be changing the bag 2 times a day at least.

So where in Ontario are you headed...be prepared for winters where you freeze your ass off and summers where you bake your skin off ;)

London. Since we're only about 4 hours away from there now, the weather couldn't be that different, I suppose. But I hate cold. Perfect choice for me to move to Canada, no?

The bag thing still freaks me out a little. But since we have 3 boys, I'm glad to hear I'll at least save some cash by buying them.
